U.S. Rep. Jasmine Crockett (D-TX) shares a harsh critique of President Donald Trump as he continues his second term in the White House. According to The Hill, Crockett explained to MSNBC’s Alex Witt that POTUS is attempting to “get rid” of governmental checks and balances, made possible by the three branches of government.

Crockett reacted to Secretary of State Marco Rubio’s reported decision to tap MAGA personality Darren Beattie to serve as acting undersecretary of state for public diplomacy. Beattie previously served as a speechwriter in the first Trump administration, but was fired after it was revealed he spoke at an event tied to white nationalists.
