A 30-year-old man was shot to death on Sunday on a highway in Fort Worth after he was involved in an accident, authorities said. Emmanuel Torres died of a gunshot wound of the head, according to the Tarrant County Medical Examiner’s Office. Torres was shot about 2 a.m. at East Loop 820 and U.S. 287, authorities said.

Officer William Martin, who was also at the center of a controversial 2016 arrest that went viral, was booked into the Tarrant County jail on a charge
