The Washington Commanders' plan to return to the site of their former home at RFK Stadium has cleared another significant hurdle.

The Washington D.C. City Council has approved a $3.8 billion project centered around a proposed 65,000-seat stadium for the Washington Commanders, per David Aldridge of The Athletic, who provided more details.

Supporters said they are excited about the possibility of walking to a Commanders game, as well as promises of community development and union jobs.
