Sliwa was the guest of honor at Saturday’s Hamptons Business Power Breakfast — a regular Southampton meeting of influential New Yorkers, who have also recently hosted Mayor Eric Adams and

Zohran Mamdani, the Democratic mayoral nominee, said that while he still had doubts about city casinos, he respected the views of voters who supported them.

Politico is reporting that Cuomo, a former governor of New York state, told the crowd at a recent fundraiser in the Hamptons that he believed Trump will ultimately help his independent bid for mayor.

Instead, the anti-Mamdani movement is fizzling, and the 33-year-old assemblyman, despite a campaign schedule that hasn’t yet matched the aggressiveness of his primary approach, is well positioned to win.

Andrew M. Cuomo, who trails in the polls for New York City mayor, is said to have told a crowd of donors that he believed President Trump would help smooth his path to victory.
