A brawl at the NCA cheerleading competition in Dallas left people injured, forcing event cancellations and sparking widespread concern.

The NCA national cheerleading championships were back on at the Kay Bailey Hutchison Convention Center on Sunday – 24 hours after the event was evacuated in a scene of chaos and confusion.

The DPD did say that many people suffered non-life-threatening injuries during the mass exodus from the convention center. Though there was no active shooter, the loud bang from the poles falling down was convincing enough for cheerleaders and their families to run for their lives – causing a dangerous stampede.
