FAYETTEVILLE, Ark. ― Texas baseball will leave Arkansas with its first series loss of the season. On Saturday, the Longhorns enter damage control mode, looking to avoid a series sweep in the finale of their three-game set against the Razorbacks.

Texas' five-game advantage over the second-place Razorbacks has shrunk to just two with six games remaining on the conference schedule for both teams. Arkansas finalized the series sweep with a thumping 13-8 victory in which they made some of the Longhorns' best arms look pedestrian, slugging five home runs.

For the first time this season, Texas baseball has lost a weekend series.  Arkansas handed the Longhorns a 6-1 defeat on Friday night at Baum-Walker Stadium.  Starter Luke Harrison allowed four runs in four innings of work.
