Maryland basketball fans are calling former head coach Kevin Willard a traitor and a sellout after he jumped ship for a new program on Sunday.

In a letter to Dr. Darryll Pines, President of the University of Maryland, College Park, a U.S. congressional committee said a "large influx" of Chinese national students at academic institutions pose a major risk to national security.

The University of Maryland announced it has invited Kermit the Frog to deliver a commencement address on May 21.

Kevin Willard is leaving Maryland men’s basketball to become the head coach at Villanova, according to a Villanova athletics release.

Maryland shot 16 free throws in the first half and led South Carolina 32-31 at the break. The Terrapins only shot two total free throws in the second half, and both came on a shooting foul in the third quarter. UM shot zero free throws in the fourth.

University of Maryland coach Kevin Willard has been named the head coach of Villanova University's men's basketball. Willard has led teams to ten NCAA Tournaments over 17 seasons.
