South Korea’s top economic, trade, and foreign affairs officials have converged on Washington, D.C., in a last-ditch effort to finalize a trade agreement with the United States before President Donald Trump’s August 1 deadline for imposing 25% reciprocal tariffs.

Hyundai Motor Group Executive Chair Euisun Chung will travel to Washington on Wednesday to support South Korea's push for a trade deal with the United States, the Yonhap news agency reported. Other South Korean business leaders have also visited the United States.
