In the year, Scheffler has earned over $19 million, with Golf Digest reporting that his caddie, Ted Scott, netted $1.92 million as a result. A mark that has him making more than the average player on the PGA Tour, which comes in at $1.73 million.
Scheffler talked Tuesday at The Open Championship about how he wrestles with his love for competition and what it really means.

Scheffler will also compete in the Procore Championship, scheduled for Sept. 11–14, ahead of the Ryder Cup. Xander Schauffele has likewise voiced strong interest in playing. This event will serve as a warm‑up to keep the U.S. team’s stars sharp during the monthlong break between the Tour Championship and the Ryder Cup.
Scheffler spoke at length about how little it actually means to win golf tournaments and how being a good husband and a good father is what matters the most to him. He added that if he ever brings the bad things home from his golf career and it starts to affect his family then that is when he'll call it quits.
