The two golfing greats go head-to-head for the first time in their new start-up league on Monday night but only Woods has previous experience of playing the simulated indoor games

Rory McIlroy’s former agent Andrew Chandler believes that Charlie Woods should heed the advice that Sir Alex Ferguson gave him over Rory McIlroy. Chandler managed McIlroy’s career when the Northern Ireland star was between 18 and 22, overseeing the star’s rise on the PGA Tour, a feat Woods Jnr is hoping to emulate in the next few years.

Although most believe that Woods and McIlroy were the initiators of the idea regarding TGL, things are different.

Tiger Woods and Rory McIlroy will face off in the TGL arena on Monday night. The two golf icons helped found the league through TMRW Sports and have been at the previous events. Woods and Jupiter Links lost their first match in a blowout but McIlroy’s Boston Common has not played yet.
