The granddaughter of World War II-era Italian dictator Benito Mussolini declared a war of her own — on Jim Carrey.

Elias Grossman, American Jewish artist, has been commissioned by Premier Mussolini to paint his portrait. Mr. Grossman was introduced to the Premier by the American Ambassador, Henry P. Fletcher.

Soon impertinent newsgatherers were asking: “Did you paint Mussolini?” Broad and smug came an answering smile from the left-handed little man who gets $1,700 for a magazine cover.
