A SERIOUS accident involving a lorry has closed both carriageways of the M5 between Taunton and Bridgwater. There is heavy congestion on roads around the motorway, including the A38 and A358.

The motorway is closed in both directions between junction 24 for Bridgwater and junction 25 for Taunton. Two lanes are also shut on the northbound side of the M5 near Weston-super-Mare.
