The Phoenix Suns and Minnesota Timberwolves held extensive trade talks for Kevin Durant at this past trade deadline, as the Timberwolves were one of many teams interested in the superstar forward before he ultimately wasn't moved.

The Minnesota Timberwolves were unwilling to include Anthony Edwards and one other player in Kevin Durant trade talks with the Phoenix Suns.

After the deadline, Durant told former Warriors teammate Draymond Green on his podcast, "It just doesn't make sense for either side to go through that when we could just play the season out and if that's the decision you want to make in the offseason then you figure it out."
