Announced originally at Ignite in November, the scareware blocker in Microsoft Edge is now available in preview in the latest stable channel release of the browser. You’ll need to enable the scareware blocker manually in Edge’s privacy settings, and then restart the browser to get the preview feature.

If you're using Bing on the Microsoft Edge browser, you'll be greeted by a new banner if you search for Chrome Web Browser.

To do so, open Edge on your Windows PC, tap on the three horizontal dots on the top right of the screen and click on Settings. On the page that appears, click on “Privacy, search and, services” from the left panel and under ‘Security’, turn on the toggle named ‘Scareware Blocker’. Now, restart Edge and you are good to go.

Microsoft is rolling out a new feature for its Edge browser on mobile devices that lets users move the address bar to the bottom of the screen, similar to Apple's Safari browser. This is the second news in two days that Microsoft has implemented changes inspired by Apple.
