Following the closure of London Heathrow Airport (LHR) due to a fire at a power station supplying electricity, more than 1,000 flights, including several Airbus A380 itineraries, were canceled on March 21.

The impact of the fire at Heathrow Airport is huge. Heathrow’s four terminals were scheduled to have 665 departures, or more than 145,000 seats, with a further 669 flights due to arrive, around 146,000 seats.
