Corey Feldman has claimed that Johnny Depp got him ousted from the 1993 film What's Eating Gilbert Grape by allegedly telling producers he was "a junkie". The Goonies star has alleged that he was cast as Gilbert Grape's disabled younger brother but was dropped from the part after Depp signed up to play the titular role.

In “What’s Eating Gilbert Grape,” the coming-of-age drama directed by Lasse Hallström, Depp plays a grocery store clerk who cares for his family, including his disabled younger brother Arnie (DiCaprio). The film also stars Juliette Lewis, Mary Steenburgen, John C. Reilly and Darlene Cates.
