Despite a visit from State Surgeon General Dr. Joseph Ladapo, commissioners in Delray Beach voted to keep fluoride in the city's water system.

Delray Beach won’t stop adding fluoride to its drinking water — a decadeslong practice in the city — despite the urging to do so by Florida’s top health official.

The latest fight to remove fluoride from drinking water arrived in one of Florida’s biggest counties on Wednesday but was pushed back in a close vote. Keeping fluoride out of drinking water has quickly become a priority once again for Republicans across the state and nation.

The city of Delray Beach will continue to add fluoride in it's potable water despite some pushback and some cities in our area pausing the use of the mineral.
