Abu Dhabi will host the final four of the EuroLeague basketball's 2024-25 season in May, the continental competition said on Tuesday. Spanish outlet El Pais reported that Abu Dhabi paid $25 million to outbid other contenders and secure the rights to host the culmination of the competition's 25th season.

"We are grateful to Abu Dhabi for hosting the Final Four," said Dejan Bodiroga, President of the EuroLeague. "This is an ambitious project and an extraordinary opportunity to present the EuroLeague atmosphere to a new audience,

Abu Dhabi has been making serious moves in the basketball world. Over the past few years, it has hosted NBA pre-season games, USA Basketball showcase events and a slew of international tournaments.

The biggest European basketball club event will be held in Abu Dhabi at the Etihad Arena. Tickets will go on sale on February 26. Initially, EuroLeague clubs voted for the 2025 Final Four to be held in Belgrade, however, Abu Dhabi improved drastically their offer to the league and things changed.
