The only downside to our weather has been the fog during the morning hours mainly. Most of the fog will burn off by 9 a.m.

Fog and low clouds will delay today’s warming some, but with afternoon sunshine still expect temperatures to reach the upper 70s/near 80 today.

People, places and even the Westgate Cocoa Beach Pier seemed to disappear Monday morning as a dense fog, one predicted by weather forecasters for Brevard, dropped a gray shroud over the Space Coast. By 8 a.m., the sun came peeking through in spots, but the morning commute and beach walks were draped in the fog's blanket.

A weather alert was issued by the NWS Newport/Morehead City NC on Sunday at 2:24 a.m. for dense fog until 5 a.m. for Northern Outer Banks.
