Apple released a new, more powerful version of the MagSafe charger during its September iPhone 16 event today. The puck will be compatible with all iPhones and any Qi2 device, but only the new iPhone 16 models are listed as supporting the fastest 25W wireless charging rate.

Apple's new iPhones can charge faster than ever — if you plug them in. This is according to certification from the China Quality Certification Centre, as spotted by ShrimpApplePro and reported by 9to5Mac. All of Apple's new iPhones are capable of 45W charging over USB-C.

Phone 16 USB-C wired charging speeds go up to 45W with the right charger, but Apple hasn't advertised the fast charging speeds.

All the new iPhone 16 models unveiled this week can reportedly charge more than 50 percent faster through a wired USB-C connection than the previous series. That’s according to a Chinese certification posted on Weibo indicating that Apple’s latest iPhones can support up to 45W of wired fast charging.

Although Apple didn't mention anything about it, a certification reveals that the iPhone 16 series supports up to 45W USB-C charging.

With the right AC adapter and cable, the iPhone 16 will recharge much faster over USB-C than the iPhone 15, with all 2024 models able to charge at up to 45 Watts.
