Oregon State ran into a wall trying to finish the toughest stretch of its 2024-25 women’s basketball season. The Beavers shot 28% as Washington State rolled to a 66-52 win Saturday in Pullman. It was the fourth game in eight days that included road games against the top three schools in the West Coast Conference’s preseason poll.

The Washington State women’s basketball team closed the first quarter strong to beat Oregon State 66-52 in a West Coast Conference game on Saturday at Beasley Coliseum in Pullman. The Cougars (9-7, 4-1) were sparked by Eleonora Villa’s eight first-quarter points to close the period on a 17-4 run.

Although Oregon’s Styrofoam container ban has just gone into effect, residents in nine cities throughout the state are no strangers to the ban. Portland City Council enacted an ordinance against the containers in 1990.

A new 2025 law banning statewide the use of Styrofoam to-go containers will come with an added cost to businesses and likely consumers.
