Crowds gathered at the Tesla dealership in Pasadena this weekend, protesting against budget cuts Tesla founder Elon Musk is making with the Trump Administration.
The plan for a day of mass demonstrations follows a series of violent incidents. Anti-Musk activists have been accused of throwing Molotov cocktails at Tesla facilities in Colorado, Nevada and Oregon and defacing Tesla vehicles there, and on Monday, authorities said they found multiple “ incendiary devices ” at a Tesla location in Texas.
Organizers who are part of a campaign called the “ Tesla Takedown ” said they are hoping to spur people into non-violent action against Musk to voice their discontent with Musk’s actions as the head of the Department of Government Efficiency. In his role, Musk has led an aggressive campaign to dismantle parts of the federal government.
The protests are scheduled to take place at Tesla facilities across the U.S. and in Europe on Saturday, as part of a grassroots campaign against Tesla CEO Elon Musk's work in the Trump administration.
