The New England Patriots officially added veteran free agent wide receiver Stefon Diggs on Friday, with multiple outlets reporting the deal at three years and $69 million, including $26 million guaranteed.
Diggs talked about Patriots coach Mike Vrabel being part of the impetus to sign with New England. He had met Vrabel during a Pro Bowl and was impressed. The wide receiver recited chapter and verse about Vrabel, and the importance of him being a former player.
The player who last hit that mark likes the move made by his former team. On his " Dudes on Dudes " podcast with former Patriots tight end Rob Gronkowski, Edelman said he thinks the four-time Pro Bowler will bring a much-needed energy to the locker room.

He was a Pro Bowler in each of his four seasons in Buffalo, and led the NFL with 127 receptions and 1,535 yards in 2020 when he earned First Team All Pro honors.
