Parts of St. Bernard Parish were placed under a boil water advisory Wednesday evening due to a watermain break, officials said.

St. Bernard Parish officials have issued a precautionary boil water advisory for residents and businesses along Paris Road from First Assembly Church to the Parish line at Bayou Bienvenue Bridge after a water main break in the Bayou Bienvenue Marsh.

A boil water advisory is now in place for parts of St. Bernard Parish. The parish says a water line broke in the area -- and testing for water quality is underway. The affected areas are the First Assembly Church on Paris Road to the parish line,

St. Bernard Parish lifted a parish-wide boil water advisory Sunday afternoon that had been in effect for several days after last week's historic snowstorm.

According to St. Bernard Parish officials, the advisory follows a watermain break in the Bayou Bienvenue Marsh, which has since been fixed by St. Bernard Parish government workers
