The Consejo Superior de Deportes confirmed both players would maintain their sporting licenses after upholding Barcelona's appeal.

Barcelona can retain playmaker Dani Olmo and forward Pau Víctor after a favorable ruling by Spain's sports authority on Thursday. The ruling came a day after the Spanish league said the club was not complying with financial fair play rules and that its auditors sent incorrect information that allowed the club to include the players in the squad for 2025.

That discrepancy sent alarm bells ringing, and La Liga now argues that as of December 31, 2024, Barca had no available funds or ‘Fair Play’ capacity to register Olmo and Victor. La Liga has since adjusted the club’s squad cost limit to exclude the €100m from the contentious VIP sale.
