Tyler Toffoli and Mario Ferraro scored and the San Jose Sharks snapped an eight-game winless streak by beating the Tampa Bay Lightning 2-1.

Warsofsky got the response he was looking for Thursday as goalie Yaroslav Askarov finished with 24 saves to help the Sharks beat the Lightning 2-1 before an announced crowd of 11,103 at SAP Center, snapping an eight-game losing streak.

Sharks goalie Yaroslav Askarov was sharp in denying 24 shots in the game. The Sharks also deserve credit for playing with high urgency and defending hard in front of him. San Jose efficiently cleared pucks out of the defensive zone, limited turnovers, and protected the front of their net.

Sharks star forward Mikael Granlund played a role in the Lightning's loss, as he recorded the primary assist on Mario Ferraro's goal that gave San Jose a 2-0 lead. With the Lightning needing more offense, Granlund is a player they should consider targeting.

Yaroslav Askarov made 24 saves and stopped all 11 shots he faced in the third period as the San Jose Sharks snapped an eight-game losing streak with a 2-1 win over the Tampa Bay Lightning.
