Officials say rare Pakistani airstrikes have targeted multiple suspected hideouts of the Pakistani Taliban inside neighboring Afghanistan, dismantling a training facility and killing some insurgents.

Pakistan defended its recent counter-terrorism airstrikes in Afghanistan's Paktika province, emphasizing their intelligence-based operations and commitment to civilian safety and Afghan sovereignty. They called for joint efforts with Afghanistan to combat threats like Tehreek-e-Taliban Pakistan (TTP) through dialogue and diplomacy.

The Taliban's Ministry of Defense strongly reacted to the overnight Pakistani airstrike on Barmal, Paktika, stating that the attack would not go unanswered, emphasizing that defending their land and Sovereignty was their legitimate right.
