Avalanche signs Taylor Makar to NHL contract after strong senior season
The Colorado Avalanche signed Taylor Makar to his first professional contract on Monday. It is a one-year entry-level contract for the 2025-26 season. He will join the Colorado Eagles on an amateur tryout contract for the rest of this season. This makes him eligible to play for the Eagles immediately and during the Calder Cup Playoffs.

The Colorado Avalanche Hockey Club announced today that the team has signed forward Taylor Makar to a one-year, entry-level contract through the 2025-26 season. Makar will report to the Colorado Eagles (AHL) on an Amateur Tryout (ATO) for the remainder of the 2024-25 campaign.
