As the search for Michael Brown enters its sixth day, a local outdoor expert describes the challenging wilderness terrain that's complicating the manhunt for the suspect in the Anaconda bar shooting.

Police are looking for Michael Paul Brown, 45, after four people were shot and killed in The Owl Bar in the small town of Anaconda, Montana.

Four people are dead after a shooter opened fire at Anaconda’s Owl Bar at approximately 10:30 a.m. on Aug. 1, 2025, according to a press release from the Montana Department of Justice.
