Hospitals workers say at least 19 people were killed all but one of them women when a car bomb exploded on the outskirts of a northern Syrian city.

A car bomb in Manbij, northern Syria, killed at least 19 people, marking the deadliest attack since Bashar al-Assad was ousted from power in December 2024.

The car detonated next to another vehicle carrying mostly female agricultural workers on the outskirts of the city of Manbij, in Syria's northern Aleppo province.
