LSU drew first blood at the top of the second inning when an error by the Sooners ' second baseman led to Tanner Reaves and Luis Hernandez scoring, giving LSU a 2-0 lead. In the bottom of the second, Oklahoma cut the lead to 2-1 as a passed ball resulted in a run for the Sooners.

Oklahoma's miserable weekend was capped by being swept for the first time since March of last year. The No. 10 Sooners fell to No. 7 LSU 3-2 Saturday in the finale of a three-game series.

NORMAN, Okla. — LSU baseball freshman outfielder Derek Curiel has accomplished a feat no Tigers rookie has achieved since at least 1985. Curiel's run-scoring double in the fourth inning on Saturday extended his on-base streak to begin the year at 33 games, breaking Mike Fontenot's record that was set in 2000.
