New York rideshare drivers have until 11:59 p.m. on January 31 to file a claim for their share of a $328 million settlement paid out by Uber and Lyft.

Rideshare drivers who believe they were underpaid by Uber or Lyft were urged by New York Attorney General Letitia James on Monday to file claims and receive money from a $328 million settlement before time runs out.

More than 100,000 drivers across New York are eligible to receive settlement funds and benefits under these historic agreements.

According to James, $328 million in back payments were secured in a Nov. 2023 settlement. The investigation found that “Uber and Lyft withheld funds from drivers and failed to provide valuable benefits.

The deadline for New York Uber and Lyft drivers who were underpaid to file a claim has been extended, New York State Attorney General Letitia James announced Tuesday. The previous deadline was expanded an additional month to Jan. 31, 2025 by 11:59 p.m.

Rideshare drivers who believe they were underpaid by Uber and Lyft are encouraged to file their claims before the end of the month.
