Veteran goaltender John Gibson, one of few being mentioned in trade rumors around the NHL, sustained an upper body injury during the first period of the Ducks' 5-2 win over the Predators and was replaced by Lukas Dostal.

Gibson, who stopped 9 of 10 shots in the first period, was replaced by Lukas Dostal to start the second. The Ducks confirmed Gibson would not return to the game following his removal from it. "Lukas Dostal is now in net for us. John Gibson has an upper-body injury and will not return to this game," the Ducks announced on X.
