Australia’s Jack Della Maddalena is coming off a hard-fought victory over Belal Muhammad. “JDM” dethroned the American via unanimous decision and was crowned as the new UFC Welterweight Champion. The judges’ scorecards for the matchup subsequently set the MMA community abuzz.

Muhammad leaves Montreal without the title he won in July by defeating Leon Edwards at UFC 304. The result also marked Muhammad's first loss since a unanimous decision against Geoff Neal in January 2019, ending a 10-fight winning streak, which also included a no contest against Edwards.

Jack Della Maddalena completely changed his career in the main event of UFC 315 — and it's possible the best is yet to come.
