The horrific killing of a police bloodhound has outraged Italians and sparked a criminal investigation to find his killers.

Bruno, a seven-year-old dog known to help find missing and vulnerable people, was found dead in his shed in Italy. It was later revealed that he died from internal bleeding after eating sausages laced with hidden nails.
