Update: Silver Fire in Inyo County remains at 50% containment by Tuesday morning
Silver Fire initially started 2:11 p.m. March 30 in Inyo County. After being active for 28 hours, it has burned 1,589 acres. As of Monday evening, the fire crew managed to contain 47% of this wildfire. Investigations into its cause are still ongoing.
Firefighters said they stopped the wildfire's forward spread, but there was still the threat of flareups on Tuesday.
