Investigators say a 2025 Honda Civic was traveling southbound on I-55 when the vehicle went off the roadway for reasons still under investigation. After going off the road, the car hit an embankment and collided head-on with a tree. Following the crash, the vehicle caught fire and became fully engulfed in flames, according to police.
