IKEA U.S. announced plans for its third New York location at Destiny USA in Syracuse on the company's website on July 7. From Elmira, the drive to the new Syracuse store will take about 1 hour, 50 minutes. That's about half the estimated travel time to the IKEA in Paramus, NJ, the closest existing store.

IKEA will open its first Upstate New York location at Destiny USA in Syracuse, NY in the fall of 2025, offering a range of home furnishings, food, and a pick-up location for online orders.

Ikea is coming to Upstate New York. The Swedish home goods retailer announced Tuesday it plans to open a nearly 70,000-square-foot store this fall at Destiny USA in Syracuse, the largest mall in New York state.
