The day honoured the 80th anniversary of the liberation of Auschwitz-Birkenau - the largest Nazi concentration camp in Poland. A commemoration was held at the Occupation Tapestry Gallery in the Maritime Museum followed by the laying of wreaths at the Lighthouse Memorial.
