In a stunning move, the Boston Red Sox have reportedly traded Rafael Devers to the San Francisco Giants. The blockbuster trade was first reported Sunday evening by Robert Murray of Fansided, just hours after Devers helped lead the Red Sox to a three-game sweep over the New York Yankees.

The Boston Red Sox are just days away from making a tough decision, it seems. Boston recently brought up No. 1 prospect Roman Anthony because Wilyer Abreu was placed on the Injured List. It sounds like he won’t need much more time before he can get back on the field.

Red Sox starters have been red-hot lately, at 4-0 with a 1.05 ERA in their last five starts. And they could be getting help.

Boston placed Abreu on the IL Monday and promoted top Roman Anthony from Triple-A Worcester. Next Thursday (an off day before a series in San Francisco) is the first day he is eligible to return.
