The United States is all but assured of playing host to the 2031 women’s World Cup following FIFA President Gianni Infantino’s announcement Thursday that no other bids were submitted by this week’s deadline.

The United States and the United Kingdom look set to be picked by FIFA next year as hosts of Women’s World Cups in 2031 and 2035.
