Steven Frane Bailey was given the harshest penalty available for the deaths of Kristina Folkerts and Gabriel Harvey and injuries to several other people who were relaxing on the Park Tavern patio when he crashed into them last summer.

The man who pleaded guilty to driving drunk into the patio of Park Tavern in St. Louis Park last year, killing two people and injuring more than a dozen others, has been sentenced.

The driver of one car in the crash was pronounced dead on the scene, while the driver of another was taken to an area hospital with unspecified injuries.

A car crash in the south suburbs resulted in the closure of all southbound lanes of I-57 at I-80, Illinois State Police said.
