Tropical Storm Chantal made landfall in South Carolina, will potential bring heavy rain and gusty winds in southeastern Virginia and northeastern North Carolina.
Chantal officially made landfall this morning around 5:00 A.M. in Murrell’s Inlet, South Carolina, as a tropical storm with winds of 50 mph and gusts to 70 mph. The impacts will continue to be felt throughout the day and evening hours. Most of the area will see bands of showers and storms off-and-on, with a few breaks in the clouds and rain.
