When Andrew Luck decided Stanford needed to change its head football coach at an unusual time in late March, he turned to a familiar face.

Andrew Luck almost retired one year earlier. Entering the 2018 season -- his seventh with the Indianapolis Colts -- fresh off of a 2017 campaign spent on the sidelines due to a shoulder injury, Luck had serious questions about his future.

Luck is shouldering the load, while Reich’s only objective for the rest of 2025 is to coach football. Luck said his role as general manager at Stanford continues to prioritize fundraising for NIL and creating new revenue streams in order to keep up in this fast-paced era of college athletics.
