The sand dunes in September with the sunset are out of this world beautiful! I will drive two hours just to shoot there each way! My sweet Sheboygan family is blessed to be so close! Anyone in the ar…Full review by Savanah S

Lake MI is always beautiful, and we went during off season, so it wasn't busy at all. The boardwalk style trail isn't very nice and the views were just so, so, but I would love to come back when it's…Full review by bgcchick88

Where is a good spot to look for beach glass. North or south end. Is there a low tide when the small stones are showing to hunt for beach glass Julie

I have only been to Kohler-Andrae park three times. I am most often at Indiana Dunes (the state park and the now national park). I also go many times per year to Illinois Beach state park. I have collected glass (and some stones) from many other beaches on all sides of Lake Michigan. Early morning is the time to find the best as fewer people will have preceded you.
Curious what high and low temps are like, and if water is super cold? Any info is helpful :) June July August Sept.

The air temp is hot in July and August, and the water temp has the best chance to be warm then. If there is little wind the sun will warm the shallow water near the beach and you can find comfortable swimming temperatures in July and August. But if a strong wind blows over the lake - it will stir up cold water from the depths of the Lake. Lake Michigan is deep enough that it is 4 deg C (39 deg F) at its bottom all year. So, check the online water temp of the nearest city - and you will still have to check the water yourself before total immersion.
