I was there in June 15th of 2022. Walking around, I saw the first "load of fish" around 6pm. Later there was more people and more fish including big halibuts. Best Regards. Roman

You should see plenty of activity all day since it is a busy harbor. Lunch to afternoon would be when I would plan to observe boating activity. Marine life is mostly out in the bay (Resurrection Bay). Suggest taking a wildlife boat tour to view sea lions, puffins, whales, sea otters, bald eagles, and yes, even Orcas (we saw 3 in one visit). Unless you arrive early, parking can be limited, so plan on parking at one of the paid lots and walking to the harbor. It's a nice walk and lots to see and do. If you book a tour with Kenai Fjords Tours, they will shuttle you from their parking lot for free.

There is a place outside of Seward near Seavey's cabins. I can't think of the name of it or find it on the Internet, but I'm sure if you asked around someone can tell you. They processed my husbands fish at a fraction of the cost. They process and find out when you are leaving and they pack it in an ice chest and ship it to the airport where they have a storage unit, and then all you have to do is pick it up and pay baggage fees on it. It was a simple process and so much cheaper than anywhere we could find in town.
