when the lake was at its best times there were places to change and to take shower. but nowadays due to the lake's situation they are abandoned. so if you are planning to swimm, you must know that the water is extremely salty. so bring a gallon of water with you so that you can wash the salt from your body. iranian women come for swimm too. so it isnt really a big problem to find a place to change.
Hi there! We are coming from Jolfa today and would love to visit lake Urmia. I understand that it is best to visit on the eastern side of the lake for better viewpoints and in terms of actually reaching the shore? Is this true? Are there any places we should go to for particularly great viewpoints? Thank you so much for any help, really looking forward to it!

Hi Arthur it depends on your destination. if you are traveling through Jolfa-Khoy road you can't see the lake because it's far from the Khoy city. there you have to travel to south and enter the Ghushchi road. but if you are going to Tabriz the best and nearest place is Kalantari road which is goes through the lake itself. there you can find the view you want. good views could be found around the Eslami island. i hope it helps.
