Not a good experience. I remained polite throughout. Felt uncomfortable. One of the owners charged double for a coconut, no knives or means to get the jelly. Security, Co owner, and helper in the…Full review by New Season B

I’m not the owner. You need to talk to Irma Douglas. She lives in the big White House on the right past Batibou heading toward Portsmouth. Her food is awesome.

Hi, I'm planning for a trip to Dominica late November this year. We will be on the island only for one day and one night and I'm not planning on renting a car. So my question is: if I take a taxi from the airport, how can I get back to Marigot or the airport area? Is there a chance I can get a cab if I just walk up the road? Maybe someone can help me phone a taxi? Any suggestions?

You will be able to get a driver to take you from the airport or from your hotel to Batibou Beach . You would be best advised to have them wait for you or arrange a return pick up time. There are no taxies for hire cruising the streets. You may be able to stop one of the maxi taxi buses on the highway, but they are infrequent and don’t run to any time table. Safer to have your own driver if time is tight.

Dear Bartek N, Thank you for your interest in Batibou. Sadly, Batibou’s vegetation got quite a beating and it is still recovering. We hope to begin a project very soon to salvage all that fallen lumber. However, Batibou Beach itself is open to the public bigger and better. Some people prefer the post hurricane Batibou than the pre Hurricane one. Please send us your email address so we can send you some more recent pictures. That way you can see for yourself.
