About a 1-2" chunk will catch you some big Cutthroat Trout. Specially around the big turnout about a 1/2 mile before you enter Yellowstone NP. TIP: If the Gallatin River is muddy from rains. Go to this area. Taylor Fork of Gallatin muddies up the river. This spot I mentioned can easily be fished from shore.
