Nice walk up to the vantage point where the castle used to sit. The town has down a good job of providing historical information about the site. Nice view of the bridge and sound.Full review by Southwest_Gaucho

Nice view from the top - a bit of walking to go up - hidden behind the Sitka hotel - ok for an evening walk and to relax a bit - Baranoff is very well knownFull review by dennys34

This is really just a viewpoint looking over downtown Sitka and the harbor. There are no ruins left. The view is pretty and it does not take long to see and there are signs explaining the history. Full review by GeofJx

We walked from where the shuttles dropped us off. It is a short walk. Head towards the Cathedral, pass the Cathedral and the Pioneer house and you will see signs on the left that say …

We walked from where the shuttles dropped us off. It is a short walk. Head towards the Cathedral, pass the Cathedral and the Pioneer house and you will see signs on the left that say where to go from there. There are some stairs that you have to climb to get there. Note there is no castle there now but the views are amazing. And the history of the US getting Alaska there is worth the climb
